Ashley Nestale


Executive Director

Ashley Nestale began her career at FLC after earning her Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice. What started as a job in 2014, quickly became a career. Her versatility is evident in the many roles she has filled. Ashley gets the job done whenever and wherever she is called upon from Administrative Assistant to Child Development Center Director, and then Program Coordinator. Being part of FLC has truly impacted her life; she has grown personally and professionally. She loves the staff, families, supporters, and the mission of Family Literacy Connection.

Adult Education Instructor


Kenya Glass serves as our Adult Education Instructor. It has been her joy to watch  students recover from life’s set backs  and reach their goals. Kenya tells us, “It is my pleasure to work at FLC serving  the students and families of our community. In the words of Booker T. Washington, ‘Success is not measured by the position one has reached, rather by the obstacles one overcomes while trying to succeed.’”

 

Sara Mitchell


Early Childhood Program Coordinator

Sara Mitchell is our Early Childhood Program Coordinator where she oversees the Parents As Teachers Program and the Child Development Center. She is a native of Leesburg and a graduate of Lee County High School. "Go Trojans!" She is a graduate of Albany Technical College and Saint Leo University with degrees in Early Childhood Education and Psychology. She has 16 years of teaching experience and 3 years in the non-profit field.
