Prevent Child Abuse Georgia (PCA Georgia) is a statewide organization whose mission is to prevent the abuse and neglect of Georgia’s children. Family Literacy Connection is the PCA Georgia local council for Dougherty County. Through the Prevent Child Abuse Dougherty program, FLC will work to expand current programs to bolster child abuse and neglect prevention efforts and awareness in the community. We will also direct local resources that support families into PCA Georgia’s statewide resource helpline, 1-800-CHILDREN (244-5373). Parents or caregivers can talk to trained professionals who can help connect them with local supportive programs in Dougherty and beyond. Their resources will also be available to search by location through an interactive resource map at www.PCAGeorgiaHelpline.org.
