Afterschool & Summer Care

Reading & Racquets Afterschool and Summer program provides developmentally appropriate activities for school age children through 5th grade. Activities include:

• Tennis lessons-10 and Under

• STEAM based activities-Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math

• Homework help

• Nutritional snacks and dinner

• Exercise (Georgia Shape)

• Field Trips (Summer)

Reading & Racquets follows the Dougherty County School System Calendar. The Afterschool program is opened 2:30pm-5:30pm. The six week summer program is opened 8:30am-3:00pm.

10 and Under Tennis

‘10 and Under’ Tennis is a format for kids ages 5-10. It uses smaller courts, racquets, and softer balls to get kids playing! The changes really work, because now any child between ages 5 and 10 can start playing tennis almost immediately - even if he or she has never picked up a racquet before.

Students and mentors work on reading, math, homework, decision-making, setting goals, and fun projects!
